It is my goal to provide a positive therapeutic relationship with my clients who are seeking to make positive changes in their lives. As a Doctor of Marriage and Family Therapy, Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor and Certified School Counselor, I am extensively trained in a variety of therapeutic techniques, however the most important aspect of my practice is building positive and respectful relationships with my clients. I believe without mutual respect and understanding therapy will not be productive. I specialize in providing therapeutic services to: Adults, Couples, Children, Teenagers,
and Families.
I specialize in treating clients who are struggling with: Anxiety, Depression, Relationship Issues, and Behavior Concerns. When working with clients, I utilize SFT, CBT, Art Therapy, and Play Therapy. These techniques allow clients to be expressive in a non-intrusive manner. I am also a Trauma trained therapist, specializing in Self-harm, DV Survivors, etc. With adults, couples, and families, I utilize Solution Focused Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. As a Doctor of Marriage and Family Therapy and 13 years of experience as a Certified School Counselor, I have worked with clients from a variety of ethnic and cultural backgrounds. I have incorporated this knowledge into my
private practice.

Mr. Carl Lewis Jr. earned his Masters of Education in Counseling at Tarleton State University, and is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Texas. Carl has clinical experience working in Christian counseling centers, public crisis centers, and public school facilities. He has counseled individuals, couples, groups, and even taught parent education classes. Carl is also a certified educator in the state of Texas.
Carl has experience working with people of varying age groups and clinical needs. He has worked with individuals suffering from depression and anxiety, couples in crisis, families in dysfunction, youth with Asperger’s Syndrome, children and adults dealing with grief, and victims and predators of abuse. Carl’s personal therapy style combines his existential perspective with an active directive approach.
Although Carl places a high value on his professional and educational accomplishments, he places an even higher value in being a husband, a father, a son, a brother, and a friend; because he believes that it is through our relationships that our lives are truly touched, and it is through our relationships that we truly touch the lives of others.
